Why EDDM works for local business

Every Door Direct Mail is a USPS service built for exactly what a neighborhood business needs: reaching the people who live close enough to walk in.

  • Targets your neighborhood, not the whole region

We pick the USPS carrier routes around your business, using the route data USPS publishes on household counts, age and income.

  • Reaches every home, guaranteed

Every address on the route gets a card. No list to buy, no names to collect and no homes skipped.

  • Sticks around after it lands

A postcard stays on the counter or the fridge until it is used. There is nothing to scroll past or skip.

How USPS Every Door Direct Mail works

Local businesses, promoted by a local

805 Select is run here in the 805, not from a national office. Every card is built to send neighbors to the shops, restaurants and services on their own streets, so more of what they spend stays in the community.

  • One local contact

You talk to the person who designs, prints and mails your card.

  • 805 businesses only

Every spot on the card goes to a business that serves the 805.

  • Spending that stays local

Every coupon redeemed is a sale for a business down the street.

About 805 Select

We’re SLO County locals who started 805 Select for one reason: local shops, restaurants and services on the Central Coast deserve the same spotlight as the big chains.

We live here, shop here and eat here. We know how hard it is for a small business to get noticed. Online ads are pricey and easy to scroll past, and mailing on your own adds up fast. So we built a simple, affordable way to put local businesses in front of the neighbors who live right down the street.

When you advertise with us, you work with people who know the area, care how your ad looks and want your phone to ring. Every card we mail is a small push for local business, and a reason for neighbors to shop close to home.

Email us a question

What is Every Door Direct Mail?

A USPS service that delivers one piece of mail to every address on a carrier route, with no names or mailing list needed.

Do I need a mailing list?

No. The card goes to every home on the routes we choose, so you reach the whole neighborhood without a list.

What size is the postcard?

The community mailer is 6.25 by 11.5 inches and holds 15 ad spots, 8 on the front and 7 on the back. Every spot is 2.7 by 2.5 inches, and you can book two side by side for a bigger ad.

Does every spot cost the same?

Yes. Every spot on the card is the same size and the same price. A double spot is two spots side by side, priced as two spots.

Which neighborhoods does the card reach?

Each mailer covers a set of USPS carrier routes. Your quote lists the routes, the number of homes and the mail date.

How is 805 Select different from Valpak?

Valpak mails a sealed envelope of separate coupons. 805 Select is one shared postcard, so every ad is seen the moment it comes out of the mailbox, and we are locally owned in the 805.

Who can advertise on the card?

Any business that serves customers in the 805, such as restaurants, home services, salons, clinics and auto shops. Spots on the card go to local businesses only.

Can you design my ad?

Yes. Send your business name, your offer, your phone number and your logo, and we design the ad and send you a proof to approve before it prints.
